Description
Size Restriction: 8a, HUB Zone SB, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses, Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00; NAICS Code: 237990 Size Standard: $31,000,000.00. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATIO NS OR BIDS. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District requests documentation from contractors concerning the potential project described below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Responses are to be sent via hard copy to the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District, Contract Division, 10 So uth Howard Street, Baltimore, MD 21201-1715 no later than 3:30 p.m. eastern standard time February 4, 2008. Responses should include the following information: Details of similar contract references (including owner with phone number and email add ress), and the contract value. Comments will be shared with the Government and the project leaders, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Comments may be in a format as chosen by each offeror, but must include the offerors name, address, phon e number and email address. The submittal is limited to 25 one-sided pages with a font not less than 11 (eleven). Construction would include excavating basins; modifying existing drainage structures; installing new drainage structures; preparing so ils (compacting and providing organic matter amendments); and planting native vegetation. Additional features to be constructed include paths and horse paddocks. Eight acres of wetlands, including meadow, shrub, and forest habitat would be restored at se veral sites in the floodplain of the Western Branch Patuxent River. Upland native shrub and tree species would be planted over 1.5 acres adjacent to the restored wetlands. Upland meadow grasses would be planted on an additional 15.5 acres. It is estimat ed that the proposed work would take approximately six months to complete. In preparing the formal solicitation, the government makes no commitment to retain any of the elements/provisions of this sources sought notice and may include different elem ents/provisions in a formal solicitation.
