- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction and Facilities Management, is soliciting bids under Solicitation number VA-101-07-IB-0039 for the following: The contractor shall provide and install improvements, extensions, and expansions at the South Florida VA National Cemetery. Including but not limited to: excavations, precision grading, drainage systems, utility systems, structures, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, site work, paving, concrete, installation of precast concrete crypts, columbaria, landscaping, environmental compliance, and coordination with on-going Cemetery operations. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses only. The magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. NAICS code is 237990. The Size Standard is $31.0 Million. Performance period is approximately 480 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL: Electronic solicitations are not available. Requests for hard copy drawings and specifications shall be in writing to: Miller Legg, Attention: Patrick Dayan, 2005 Vista Parkway, Suite 100, West Palm Beach, FL 33411. Bidders will be charged a $300.00 non-refundable fee for each set of drawings and specs. Fee must be in the form of a certified check, cashier???s check, or money order made payable the ???Miller Legg.??? All requests should be on company letterhead to include point of contact, physical mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address. Please indicate if you are a prime or sub-contractor. No telephone requests will be accepted. Bidders should allow 5 working days after receipt of their request by the issuing office for reproduction, in addition to mail delivery time when requesting bidding material. Bidders must include their UPS or FedEx account number if requesting expedited delivery. Bidding materials are not available at FedBizOpps website. Solicitation will be released on or about February 1, 2008. NOTICE TO PRIME (GENERAL) CONTRACTORS: Unless Prime (General) Contractors are registered on the FedBizOpps website, potential subcontractors will not know of your interest in bidding on this project. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http:www.fedbizopps.gov/. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. By registering for the Register to Receive Notification list at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Potential bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging any amendments to the solicitation. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Pre-Bid conference will be held on March 14, 2008 at 9;00 am Eastern time at the South Florida VA National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Ph: 561-649-6489. A site visit will be conducted immediately following the pre-bid conference. The bid opening for this solicitation is March 19, 2008, 2:00 pm Eastern time.
