- Description
- Remove the ceramic tile and gypsum board of eighteen shower stall walls and ceramic tile of the floor, perform diagnostic investigation on the pipes and repair all leaks. Remove the existing ceramic floor, cement mortar and wall tiles up to seven (7)feet high. Remove the crumbling back-up board. Prepare the floor and walls to receive the new finish material. Place waterproofing membrane around the shower base and turn-up six (6) inches at the wall. Install cement mortar (thick set)in the shower floor as required to provide a positive slope to the existing floor drain for adequate drainage. Install new water-resistant cement board walls and thin-set ceramic tile walls. Grout and seal the floor and walls. All tile work must be installed in accordance with TCA ceramic tile installation guidelines and manufacturers recommendations. The shower stalls are approximately 3.5 feet x 3.5 feet x 7 feet. Contractor will provide all materials to preform this job. The tile on the walls should be 4x4" Ivory and on the floor should be 1x1" beige.
