- Description
- The Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), seeks 8(a) contractor support services to provide management and technical support services for their IT Infrastructure. The resulting contract will provide FAS with a vehicle that will ensure that FAS IT resources are managed, supported, sustained and upgraded as necessary to keep pace with changing technology ad mission requirements in an efficient and effective manner. The contract scope will cover program and project management, network operations and services, security operations and services, desktop management, email management, server management, IIS administration, helpdesk services, telecommunications support, foreign installation of hardware and software. Contractor will be required to provide all necessary personnel, tools, materials, supervision and other items necessary for required support services. A copy of the Draft Performance Work Statement was posted on November 15, 2007, on the Federal Business Opportunities portal (FedBizOpps). It is anticipated that Solicitation No. AG-3151-S-08-0001, for the FAS IT Infrastructure Management requirement will be released, through GPE on or about December 6, 2007. This procurement is being released as a 100% competitive 8(a) set-aside. All responsible 8(a) sources are encouraged to submit a proposal. A performance-based service contract with a base period and four option periods is contemplated. All proposals in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be due on or about 20 December 2007. The initial period of performance is anticipated to be from February 1, 2008 to January 31, 2009. For the purposes of small businesses, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541513. The award of one firm fixed price contract is projected. All interested 8(a) firms are reminded of the requirement for CCR registration and the Online Representations and Certifications ? Award shall not be made to an offeror that does not have a valid and current registration (go to www.ccr.gov, and www.orca.gov ). Offerers will be required to possess a Top Secret Facility Clearance throughout the duration of the contract.
