- Description
- The purpose of this pre-solicitation notice is to inform prospective offerors that the Department of State (DOS) intends to issue solicitation SAQMMA-07-R-0131, on a competitive basis. The proposed acquisition method at this time is unrestricted and the anticipated period of performance will be for one base year period plus four one year options. Accordingly, the DOS has a requirement to procure the services of one or more offerors to assist the Department with its Student Intern Program. The offeror/vendor will be expected to provide national recruitment and referral services from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU), and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI). As a result of the recruitment and referral services the vendor will be expected to provide highly qualified African American internship candidates, Native American internship candidates and Hispanic internship candidates. In addition to providing the administrative services for the internship program, the contractors will support the goals and objectives of the Department of State, and meet the requirements under EO 13256 for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), and the EO 13270 of July 3, 2002 for Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU). The DOS intends to issue the solicitation on or around December 27, 2007. Proposals from interested vendors will be due 30 days after the RFP has been posted to the FEDBIZOPPS internet site. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued, faxed or e-mailed. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-DEC-2007).
