- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis with AMETEK Ortec for the procurement of seven (7) Ruggedized Coaxial P-type High Purity Germanium (HPGe) Gamma-Ray Detectors with the option of twenty one (21) additional detectors having the following characteristics; Required energy range: 40 keV to 10 MeV; Relative efficiency: greater than or equal to 100 percent (relative to a 3 inch by 3 inch NaI detector); Energy resolution (Full Width at Half Maximum): less than or equal to 1.3 keV at 122 keV ; Energy resolution (Full Width at Half Maximum): less than or equal to 2.2 keV at 1.33 MeV. Crystal Dimensions: greater than or equal to 85 mm in diameter and greater than or equal to 60 mm in length; Detector Capsule diameter: less than or equal to 108 mm in diameter, Detector Capsule cryostat interface: field removable and must be compatible with ORTEC Pop Top cryostat interface.
