- Description
- The work of this project consists of furnishing all labor and equipment necessary for the surface preparation, cleaning, and coating exposed exterior and interior surfaces of two 50,000 gallon welded steel potable water storage tanks. Work includes, but is not limited to, wall, roof framing, roof plates, columns, floor plates, interior piping, access manways, roof hatches and overflow pipes. The work includes providing, installing and coating replacement exterior ladders with safety cages. Both existing tank coatings have small percentages of total lead content that are within industry standards for water tanks. The work includes verification of total lead content for existing coatings. Report included in the solicitation of the testing done by the Government on the lead content in the paint. Contractor shall perform independent tests to determine the amount of lead present. This solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about January 28, 2008, PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Solicitation Number N1470080104. Work will be in accordance with the scope of work, drawings and other attachments. This acquisition is a total Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS code 237110, with the small business standard of $31.0 million. This is a Best Value procurement and will use a comparative evaluation of proposals based on price, past performance and technical qualifications. In order to download the solicitation, interested vendors must register at http://ideasec.nbc.gov It is mandatory that all contractors register in the Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov) prior to award. The anticipated award date is on or about February 27, 2008. Responses from offerors will be accepted at the address listed in the solicitation in hard copy until the due date and time specified in the Solicitation, with the manual signature of the authorized company official.
