Description
REMANUFACTURE F110-GE-110/120 PYROMETER. One-time fixed quantity contract is contemplated. Item 0001: Remanufacture F110-GE-100 Pyrometers. QUANTITY: 50 EA. INPUT NSN 6685-01-476-0766PR, P/N: 1960M40P01 and/or 0704AP1; and/or NSN: 6685-01-520-4684PR, P/N: 1960M40P06 and/or 0704AP6. OUTPUT NSN: 6685-01-520-4684PR, P/N: 1960M40P06 and/or 0704AP6. ITEM 0002 CAV AF reporting IAW Appendix ?B? and DD Form 1423-1. Applicable to: F110-GE-100 and F110-GE-129 engines, F-16 aircraft. Destination: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3032. Delivery: 9 each per month starting after receipt of reps. Item Description: The Pyrometer is comprised of two hard wire circuit card assemblies, photodiode assembly and EMI filter assembly, an electrical connector, a lens tube assembly, a bearing, a sight tube, two fuel fittings and a housing that contains the electronic assemblies and is fuel cooled by a cast in the housing fuel tube. Function: The Pyrometer optically scans a portion of each high pressure turbine blade as the blades rotate through optical viewing path of the Pyrometer. This function produces a signal and provides the Digital Electronic Control to establish conditions to prevent over temperature of the Turbine blades. Overall dimensions: Length: 12.85 inches; Width: 3.05 inches; Weight (maximum dry) 3.90 pounds. Material: Multiple. Cast Housing. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. These qualification requirements apply to line item 0001. This is an export-controlled item. No technical data is releasable. The approximate solicitation issue date is 25 Jan 2008, and the estimated solicitation response date will be 26 Feb 2008. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation through FedBizOps at http://www.eps.gov/. Approved source is Rosemount Aerospace, Eagan, MN 55121. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation that shall be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specification, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government.
