- Description
- This is a notice of intent of The Aleda E. Lutz VAMC, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, Michigan to negotiate sole source with Iris Diagnostic, a large business, for the preventative maintenance of an AX-4280 Automated Urine Chemistry Analyzers and (1) iQ200 Automated Microscopy Analyzer including (1) Annual Certification visit, emergency service calls, technical support, and regular software updates for equipment located at 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, Michigan. The proposed period of performance shall be from February 1, 2008 thru September 30, 2008 with (4) additional option years. The government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.602-1(b)(2) the existence of limited rights in data. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by January 18, 2008. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
