- Contractor shall provide full services to calculate Xe clearance time, uptake efficiency and Minimal Detectable Activity (MDA) for Caprac Gamma Counter annually for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs) located at Cincinnati, OH and Chillicothe, OH. Contractor shall perform all sealed source wipes for VAMC Cincinnati and VAMC Chillicothe. Contractor shall attend quarterly Radiation Safety Committee meetings and perform quarterly audits at both VAMC Cincinnati and Chillicothe, OH. Contractor will be available on-site within three (3) hours for any emergencies. Contractor will conduct quality control survey and certification of all x-ray equipment and CT for VAMC Cincinnati. MRI control survey and certification according to American College of Radiology standards. Calculate patient exposure when required. This procurement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR part 15. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 541690, with a small business size standard of $6.5m applies. The government anticipates award of a firm, fixed-price contract for a base year with four, one-year renewal options. All health physicists performing work under this agreement must be certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiological Physics. Must show evidence of working in hospital medical physics. The contractor must submit evidence of board certification. This solicitation will be issued electronically. It will be available only via the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov). All Offerors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
