- Description
- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Fuel Oil Remediation System Operation and Maintenance contract to the Miller Environmental Group (MEG). MEG's intimate knowledge of the geologic and hydrogeologic characteristics of the remediation area, the subsurface, and aquifer; familiarity with PIADC's aging light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) recovery system, the existing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual and corrective action procedures; and the history of the spills uniquely qualifies this environmental services solution group to address PIADC's immediate needs. The contract will consist of a one-year base period with two, one-year options.
