- Description
- The Federal Emergency Management Agency, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with American Red Cross, Preparedness and Response Division, 2025 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006 for short term accommodations for individuals and families subsequent to the beginning of the established Federal Incident period of a declared disaster. Once a declaration that includes assistance to individuals and families occurs, the American Red Cross in coordination with FEMA will determine appropriate sheltering actions which may include the placement of individuals and families into short term accommodations to which the American Red Cross could be reimbursed for these lodging expenses for those disaster applicants who are eligible for assistance under Section 408 of the Robert T. Stafford Act. A cost reimbursable Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for a period of 180 days is anticipated until a Cooperative Agreement is awarded. This notice is not a request for proposals. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement has five (5) days from publication of this synopsis to submit in writing their qualifications/capabilities. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the procurement based on responses is solely within the discretion of the Government.
