- Description
- The US Customs and Border Protection Office of Air and Marine (CBP A&M) has several requirements for pilot training. CBP A&M complies with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) as per Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and conducts fixed wing (F/W) and rotor wing (R/W) operations in accordance with FAR Part 91. The vast majority of CBP A&M pilots are Federally Warranted Law Enforcement Officers. All personnel attending pilot training are citizens of the United States and are employed by CBP A&M. Pilots that are Law Enforcement Officers may wear any number of uniforms or civilian attire, and may be armed with sidearms. The objective of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine a single or multiple, FAR certified, experienced, proactive, full service training partner(s) capable of meeting the training requirements of CBP A&M. The contractor shall provide their commercially available off the shelf (COTS) ground school and flight training that meets or exceeds the Federal Aviation Regulations and or CBP A&M requirements in each aircraft specific and helicopter generic courses as provided below.
