Description: A solicitation will be issued for Cloth, Satin, Glass Type I, Class 1, and the corresponding National Stock Number is 8305-01-035-1058. As provided in MIL-C-24576A, dated 27 July 1987, Cloth Type I, Class 1 is suitable for stress-relieving operations and is a pliable heavyweight fabric which provides thermal protection against metal encountered during welding or heavy cutting operations. First Article inspection is required and shall consist of a 3-yard, full-width sample.
