- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce On Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to purchase one prototype specialized rear projection LCD display, part number KGI-RPD-V5 with the following specifications: Upgraded DLP light processor; Continuous operation; 1280 x 1024 true resolution at 72 Hz; Bulb life of 2000 hours, 35 inch minimum diagonal display size; Unit weight NTE 260 lbs. This item will be procured on a sole source basis from the Karcher Group, 14221-A Willard Road, Suite 1500, Chantilly, VA 20151. This prototype projection display will replace nonfunctioning equipment used in a dual display station on DDG-51 class ships. The Karcher Group is the original manufacturer of the projection display and is the only vendor that is able to comply with the environmental characteristics and meet existing processing requirements. Award is to be made under simplified acquisition procedures on an all or none basis. Pricing should be FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17632 Dahlgren Road, Suite 157, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5110. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE SPECIFIED IN THIS COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY (CBD) NOTICE. Applicable NAICS code is 541512. Submit offers no later than 2:00 p.m. on the closing date of 14 January 2008 to DLGR_NSWC_XDS13@navy.mil. E-mail should reference quote number N00178-08-Q-3543. It is the offeror?s responsibility to ensure that the quote is received in a timely manner and that it is legible and complete. Anticipated award date is on or before 18 January 2008. The Government will award a purchase order from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the Karcher Group, 14221-A Willard Road, Suite 1500, Chantilly, VA 20151.
