- VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN will be accepting sealed bids on or about February 12, 2008. This Invitation for Bid is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). NAICS Code 236220, size standard $31.0 mil applies. This project has a magnitude construction range between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, material, labor and supervision necessary to renovate and expand the existing Pharmacy area within Bldg 1, at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical center in Indianapolis, IN. Work to include the renovation of the existing Pharmacy, methadone Doppler, PERC areas, ER break room, Travel Office and Agent Cashier's Office. Work includes: general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, plumbing work, utility systems work, dumbwaiter removal, removal of existing structures and construction of certain other items as required for provision of work and as covered in the contract documents for all phases. All this work is located at the VA Medical Center 1481 West Tenth Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Time to completion: 365 Calendar days from Notice to Proceed. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for January 23, 2008 2:00 p.m., at VAMC, 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202, Engineering Bldg. 5. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Bidders are reminded that all work shall take place in a healthcare environment and must conform to all applicable codes and standards for the Department of Veterans Affairs as well as state, local and Federal requirements. Bids will be publicly opened at place and time specified in the IFB. Amendments will be posted through FedBizOpps. Bidders are advised that no contract will be awarded to any firm not listed in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Prospective bidders are strongly urged to visit the CCR website at www.ccr.gov to ensure all registration requirements are current. Telephone requests for information WILL NOT be honored. Questions concerning the solicitation shall be emailed to the Contracting Officer or faxed to 317-988-1809. Solicitation will be issued on or about January 11, 2008. Solicitation document, specifications and drawings will be available electronically or on Compact Disc upon request on or about January 11, 2008 with a bid due date of February 12, 2008, 2:00 P.M. local time.
