Description
Statement of Work This contract requests support for the Dental Service Laboratory located at the VA Medical Center (VAMC), Washington, DC. Contractor shall provide trial setups of Complete Dentures and Removable Partial Dentures, and shall provide processing of Complete Dentures and Removable Partial Dentures with Lucitone 199. Contractor shall also provide processed hard clear acrylic Occlusal Guards, and fully fabricated Flexible Removable Partial Dentures. Delivery specifics will be provided to the contractor directly. Casework is to be completed in a satisfactory manner and returned to the VAMC Dental Service within 7 workdays from the date of pick up. Master/opposing casts will be articulated by the VAMC Dental Service. Denture teeth will be provided by the VAMC Dental Service. Removable partial denture (RPD) metal frameworks will be provided by the VAMC Dental Service. Duplicated master casts for Flexible Removable Partial Dentures Valplast will be provided by the contractor. Flexible RPD casework will be created with adequate retention (Diatorics) to prevent denture teeth from loosening or detaching from the flexible base. All prostheses will be returned on the original, undamaged master cast, exhibiting quality assured fit, retention, occlusion and esthetics. Trial wax setup and/or processing will include esthetics and anatomic mucosal/gingival contours, as well as bilaterally stable occlusion. All casework will be completely fabricated, setup and/or processed at a flat rate. The Dental Service will assign a representative to inspect each returned case. Cases not deemed acceptable will be returned to the contractor for correction or remake as appropriate, and no charge will be incurred by the VAMC.
