Description
This procurement is for a three (3) year Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract, including 1 base year, and two (2) one -year options. The solicitation will be issued on a Negotiated, Unrestricted basis utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Procedures. The item being acquired is Lining, Helmet, Shock Absorbing (Bladder Assembly Kit). NSNs: 8475-01-321-1542 (Large) & 8475-01-319-8766 (X-Large). The minimum quantity for the base year is 500 each and the maximum quantity for the base year is 1,600 each. Each option year quantities are 300 each minimum and 1,400 each maximum. This item requires Engineering Source Approval (ESA) by the design control activity at Brooks Air Force Base in order to maintain the quality of the item. This item is to be made in accordance with applicable drawing F148-1206, Bladder Assembly Kit, Rev C. Any contractor interested in becoming an approved source shall contact Le Huyen at Brooks Air Force Base at 210-536-5127. First Article Testing is required. The First Article Sample shall consist of three (3) samples and shall be tested at the contractor?s facility and witnessed by the Government. First Article Inspection/Testing shall include visual, dimensional, bladder proof pressure, bladder leakage, and quick disconnect separation testing. Any defect or test failure shall be cause for rejection of the first article. Conformance inspection/testing are required for each production lot of end items and shall be in accordance with production test procedures. Inspection/Acceptance at Source, Certificate of Conformance, Higher-Level Contract Quality Requirement, DSCPM 4155.3 Quality Systems Requirements applies. Deliveries are FOB Destination and the destinations are New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. Production lead time is 180 days. The estimated solicitation release date is January 31, 2008.
