Description
CORRECTION 1/3/08 - THERE HAS BEEN ANOTHER SOURCE OF SUPPLY ADDED TO THE SOURCE CONTROLLED DRAWING. BRAKE PARTS INC. (AFFINIA) CAGE 1B0A6 PART NUMBER 042006BTC IS ALSO AN APPROVED PART. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AMENDED TO REFLECT THE NECESSARY CHANGES TO THE ITEM DESCRIPTION AND CLAUSES/PROVISIONS. MORE THAN ONE AWARD MADE BE MADE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. Description: See numbered notes: 1, 9, and 26. NSN 2530-01-357-9776, Cylinder Assembly, Hydraulic Brake, Master being bought in accordance with Army (19207) source controlled drawing 12342898 and all related data. The approved source on the source controlled drawing is Robert Bosch (53867) P/N 0 204 032 538. The total quantity required is 81,612 each with 11,612 each to be shipped to (W62G2T) Stockton, CA 95296-0130 and 70,000 each to be shipped to (W25G1U) New Cumberland, PA 17070-5000. There is also a 75% option for up to 61,209 each that may or may not be used. This solicitation is an RFP and will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 01/17/08, hard copies of this solicitation are not available. Technical drawings/bid sets are available after the issue date on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ then click the cFloders under the Technical Data tab. Requests should include the RFP number, opening/closing date, NSN, purchase Request Number, buyer?s name and your complete name and address. FEDERAL, MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. This solicitation is not set-aside for small business concerns. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, socioeconomic, and JWOD. The required delivery is 5,000 each in 90 days plus 5,000 every 30 days until complete. In a final rule contained in the Federal Acquisition Circular 01-26 (Item 1, FAR Case 2002-24) published in the Federal Register on December 20, 2004, the Federal Acquisition Regulation was amended to require offerors to submit representations and certification electronically via the Business Partner Network. Offerors are encouraged to complete an Online Representations and Certification Application (ORCA) as soon as possible since this requirement will be appearing in solicitation in the near future. The ORCA can be found at http://orca.bpn.gov. Until ORCA is fully implemented continue to comply with all government instruction and requirements in solicitation and contract awards.
