- Description
- The United States Geological Survey (USGS), U.S. Department of Interior, has a requirement to evaluate several Service/Server Systems currently implemented at the Earth Resource Observation System (EROS) facility in Sioux Falls, SD. These systems provide rapid loading and dissemination of geospatial data including imagery and girded data, and metadata. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain assistance in the development and execution of benchmark tests against the systems listed below. USGS intends to make decisions regarding future system development and deployment based upon the results of these tests and select systems and solutions that are the most efficient, offer the highest performance and scalability, and maximize the return on investments in support of Emergency Operations activities and The National Map.
