- Description
- Posting: The Federal Aviation Administration intends to contract with Computer Data Source, Incorporated (CDS), on a single source basis, to provide maintenance support on the Remote Maintenance Processor Subsystem. This Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announcement is made pursuant to Section 3.2.2.4 of the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) to advise interested parties of the decision to acquire maintenance services from a single source, CDS. The FAA will extend the current contract period of performance with CDS from January 20, 2008 to July 20, 2008. This interim action will allow the FAA time to hold a competitive acquisition for a follow-on maintenance contract. CDS was awarded the current contract in 2003 and is the only source capable of meeting the interim requirements by January 20, 2008 in a timely and cost effective manner. Therefore, the FAA intends to award a firm fixed-price modification to contract DTFAWA-03-F-03004 to provide Remote Maintenance Processor Subsystem support and extend the contract period of performance to July 20, 2008.
