Description

The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) intends to negotiate intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302 Other Than Full and Open Competition, with Continuent Inc to renew the license for M/Cluster software. This software is used on the production NWS web farms. The period of performance is for one year plus two base years. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested companies may submit an affirmative response to the requirement within 5 days from the posting date of this notice to Brian.J.Brown@noaa.gov or fax to 301-713-1024. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone requests will be honored. Award will be made under commercial simplified acquisition procedures, FAR Subpart 13.
