- Description
- The purpose of this request for information is to determine Small Business (SB) capability information for performing modifications on the various systems and sub-systems managed at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WR-ALC), Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The market research Request For Information (RFI) is restricted to responses from SBs only. It is not anticipated that any one SB or team of SBs will have capabilities across all areas in the Requirements Traceability Matrix included herein. The intent of the matrix is simply to assist the Government in scoping a SB modifications program/contract by determining in which areas SB capabilities exist. Those SBs wishing to form teams or joint ventures for responding to this requirement should refer to 13 CFR 121 and contact their SBA District Office for further detailed information on SB teaming, Joint Ventures, and affiliation rules. This acquisition will be all tasks required for SB modifications to Products and Systems (See Requirements Traceability Matrix). A modification is defined as an alteration to a Configuration Item (CI) applicable to aircraft, missiles, support equipment, ground stations, software (imbedded), trainers, etc. As a minimum, the alteration changes the form, fit, function, or interface of the item. For the purpose of this program, a SB modification is based on proven technologies, mature technical data packages, established systems engineering processes, commercially available design tools, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf components. It is anticipated that this program will provide a multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) task-ordering capability for the procurement of SB modifications and may include engineering, technical, logistics, and other services, spares and repairs in support of SB modifications (hardware and software) for the enhancement of reliability, serviceability, and maintainability, and performance improvements. Also, this program may include non-recurring engineering, technical documentation, trial installations, ground and flight-testing, kit-proof technical support, kit manufacture and production installation.
