Description
The Veterans Administration is seeking to award a single contract for Asbestos and Lead Contamination Surveys at the John Cochran Division Veterans Medical Center (VAMC) located on 915 North Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63106 and Jefferson Barracks Division Veterans Medical Center (VAMC) located on 1 Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO 63125. The Contractor shall be responsible for certified consultant services for asbestos and lead contamination surveying, including reports and recommendations for abatements and remediation, for both divisions of the VA medical Center, St. Louis, MO that fall within the scope of the work in the solicitation. The Contractor shall conduct bulk sampling and evaluation of areas in accordance with the requirements of SP B2 that fall within the scope of work in the solicitation. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipments and supervision necessary to perform an inspection and assessment for asbestos contacting materials (ACM) and lead in all buildings in accordance to the attached scope of work of the solicitation. The Contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and ensure effective and economical completion of all work and services specified in this contract. The majority of work will be accomplished during normal working hours. Normal working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday after normal working hours. All samples shall be analyzed by a laboratory accredited to perform analysis of bulk asbestos samples under AHERA and OSHA. The contract will be completed within One Hundred and Twenty days (120) after contract award. There will be only one pre-award site visit scheduled for this project held at both divisions of St. Louis VAMC. Contractor will meet for the site visit at 9:00 A.M. CST Tuesday, January 8, 2008 Contactors should contact Russell Todd (314) 289-6426 to schedule site visit. Interested offerors should attend this meeting to inspect the work site and obtain information on the project before submitting a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541620. The Standard Industrial Classification is 8741. The small business size standard is $6.5 Million.
