- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. The Government anticipates a modification to contract N00164-06-C-6951 with Exide Technologies to provide logistical support to a Government provided contractor completing plastic welds on previously manufactured VRLA cells. The cells are at the Exide storage and manufacturing facilities in Fort Smith Arkansas. Exide will be required to provide logistical support to the Government provided contractor so the contractor may complete the work at the Exide facilities. Exide will move cells in and out of storage as required, and provide work space for the contractor. Exide is the only company capable of providing this service as the cells are located inside the Exide facilities. This modification is being issued using the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may contact Sean Seamon at sean.seamon@navy.mil.
