- PROJECT CONSISTS OF: Construction of an approximately 9,200 square foot, two-story, Visitor Center/Administration building with LEED certification. The work includes, earth and site work, utilities, concrete work, wood frame walls, trusses, standing seam metal roofing, fiber cementitious siding, interior finishes, a built-in aquarium, plumbing, HVAC (geothermal), and electrical work. ADDITIVE ITEMS included in this solicitation to be awarded at the discretion of the Government and within the limit of funds available include a plastic lumber deck, LED lighting in the exhibit area, a 4 foot high ornamental fence along hwy 86, and improvements to the service road. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. PROJECT LOCATION: Neosho National Fish Hatchery, Neosho, Missouri. CONTRACT TYPE: A Fixed-Price contract will result from this solicitation. TENTATIVE DATES: Estimated Invitation for Bid (IFB) release date is 01/15/2008. Estimated bid due date and opening date is 02/29/2008. Estimated award date is 03/28/2008. Construction to be completed 365 days after Notice to Proceed. PLANS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION: All solicitation documents will be available through FedBizOpps. A full set of drawings, for review purposes only, will be available at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery AFTER release of the IFB. Contact information will be provided in the IFB. SMALL BUSINESS: This procurement is issued unrestricted with regards to business size under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside for small business concerns. NAICS INFORMATION: The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $31.0 million. SOLICITATION: The solicitation package, an Invitation for Bid (IFB), with all specifications and drawings will be available via electronic commerce through the FedBizOpps website.
