Description
The Contracting Officer for this project is Mr. Gene L. Curtis. The estimated cost range of the project is from $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 The plans and specifications will be available for download on 22 January 2008. The North American Indus try Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990. Deepening of existing channel from 40 feet to 45 feet between stations 226+16 to 259+16, disposing of dredged material off shore. Note No. 1: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Co rps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicitations. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution FedTeDS Homepage https://www.fedteds.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via F edTeDS.gov Internet Homepage. The information listed below is required to register: a. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN). b. DUNS Number or CAGE Code. c. Telephone Number. d. E-Mail address. If you are no t registered, the United States government is not responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the FedTeDS system i n order to be able to download the electronic files. The solicitation will be available only as a direct download. This solicitation will not be issued on CD-ROM. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Registration should be co mpleted one week prior to the issue date. It is therefore the Contractors responsibility to check this web page daily for the solicitation to be posted, and for any posted changes or amendments to this solicitation. The plans and specifications and all n otifications of changes to this solicitation shall only be made through this posting and modifications hereto. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium wh en it is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
