- The purpose of this amendment is to advise that the government has still NOT received the cooperative agreement with the sponsor and is therefore cancelling the site visit scheduled for Friday, December 28, 2007. The solicitation shall be posted on or about December 27, 2007 (once the cooperative agreement is received) for a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract in Callaway County, Missouri. This construction project is for PL 84-99 levee repairs on the Steedman Levee. Work shall consist of clearing and grubbing, hauling earthen material, surface preparation, placement of earthen material to restore the damaged levee embankment, placement of a Contractor furnished corrugated metal pipe (including connecting bands, anti-seep collar, and flapgate), and seeding of the restored levee embankment. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. Packets will be made available through either the FedTEDs website at www.fedted s.gov or at the site visit. FOR THE SITE VISIT, PARTICIPANTS WILL MEET IN THE TOWN OF STEEDMAN, MISSOURI ON THE SOUTH EDGE OF TOWN AT THE ITNERSECTION OF HIGHWAY CC AND KATY TRAIL, WHICH IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY ONE-QUARTER OF A MILE NORTH OF HIGHWAY 94 & CC JUNCTION. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THIS DATE CHANGES (DUE TO DELAYS IN RECEIVING THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT), AN AMENDMENT SHALL BE PROVIDED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS WEBSITE. Please note that to be eligible for award of this project, you must be registered in the C entral Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the CCR website which is www.ccr.gov. Additionally you must complete your Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at the ORCA website which is orca.bpn.gov. Solicitations must be received at the C ontracting Office by 2:00 PM (local time) on January 30, 2008 in Room 748. Please note that if you are hand delivering your solicitation package, you must enter through security. Any untimeliness due to problems getting past security is at the risk of the vendor. The bid opening room (Room 748) shall not be opened until 1:30 PM. The government is tenatively planning on maintaining a bidders list which will be posted to www.nwk.usace.army.mil/contract/contract.html for this project.
