The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests capability statements from 8(a), HubZone, and Service Disabled Veteran Owner Businesses concerning the potential projects described below. Project Description: Up to 41 Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) construction contracts may be a warded using a Multiple Award Task Order (MATOC) type contract to support the construction workload for the FY05 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC). The use of the MATOC will streamline the procurement of urgently needed construction work by providing a ready pool of contractors with proven records of past performance. The pool is estimated to be approximately $325 million for the lifetime of the contracts. Work under these projects may be inclusive of the entire North Atlantic Division, but the bulk of the work will be within the Baltimore Districts area of responsibility. Interested 8(a), HubZone, and SDVOB certified firms should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience roofing, mechanical, electrical, and general construction contrac ts; including but not limited to; design-build contracts, contract management, construction, construction management, and post construction activities. Capability statements should also include the following information: details of similar projec ts, dates of construction, project references (including owner with phone number and email address), and project cost for both design and construction. Additionally, provide bonding for single project and aggregate. Additionally, please indicate on the attached matrix (Yes/No) the locations that you are willing to perform the construction work. We are also seeking comments from contractors regarding preferences on structure of the multiple awards, i.e. would contractors prefer that contracts be si te specific, state specific or open to the entire North Atlantic Division. Comments will be shared with the Government and the project design team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Comments may be in a format as chosen by each offeror, but must include the offerors name, phone number, and email address.
