Description
The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic has a requirement for port and starboard mufflers for the MTU main engines on the USCGC Mako (WPB-87303). The only known manufacturer is DeAngelo Marine Exhaust, Inc. located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A port side set includes a muffler with associated flanges and brackets. The required DeAngelo parts are as follows: 2 EA, port muffler, part no. 980484 to be supplied with flanges and brackets, part no. B98-042904 (2 EA), B97-073402 (4 EA), B97-073401 (4 EA), 2 EA, starboard muffler, part no. 980456 to be supplied with flanges and brackets, part no. B98-042804 (2 EA), part no. B97-073402 (4 EA) and part no. B97-073401 (4 EA). Also required are 4 EA, part no. B98-042903, Marmon flange male 321SS, ship loose with muffler crate (1 per muffler), 6 EA, part no. 024-0010000, clamp v-band GM LG Hotti attach DME spec DME-1009, 2 EA, material cranes, 2 EA, fabricate as defined WYE assembly 1 port and 1 starboard in accordance with drawing 316LSS. Known salient characteristics are 26" long main muffler, 21" diameter, 71" circumference, 8" v-band and overhead mounted brackets. There are no known suppliers other than DeAngelo Marine Exhaust. If a contractor believes that it can provide the equipment and supplies, to merely state so is not sufficient. Contractors must submit data in sufficient detail to be evaluated by Coast Guard technical personnel. Receipt of the data is due January 4, 2008 by 4:30pm EST.
