- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business concerns, or for Total Small Business concerns. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The NAICS Code is 336612. The scope of the acquisition is to purchase up to sixty (60) 16-18 foot inflatable rescue boats with trailers over a three year period, required to operate in, on, and around ice, carry four fully outfitted crewmembers, all associated rescue gear, outboard motor, and fuel in a ready to operate state. The first six (6) hulls will be operated and evaluated to determine if they meet the Coast Guard?s needs. If it is determined that the first six meet the Coast Guard?s needs, the Coast Guard will consider ordering between 1- 54 additional boats in the 24 months following a successful determination. This represents one base and two option periods.
