Description
The subject requirement is for the acquisition of 98 NSNs that are general purpose machinery and equipment items with various item descriptions and end items. The solicitation is being issued pursuant to the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) and contemplates the award of a contract for items of supply that are available from limited number of sources. The items will be evaluated in accordance with Section M. The major FSCs of this requirement are: 1005, 2510, 2520, 2530, 2540, 2590, 2920, 2990, 3040, 3120, 4030, 4320, 4710, 4720, 4730, 4820, 4910, 4940, 5930, 5935, 5985, and 5995. An Indefinite Quantity Long-Term Contract with a base year and 4 option years is anticipated. The total duration will be for five years which includes a base year plus four option year periods. The small business size standard is 750. Solicitation will be issued as unrestricted with other than full & open competition. The solicitation will be available on 08 Jan 2008 at website https://dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp. The closing date of the solicitation will be 08 Feb. 2008. The website will contain the item descriptions for the items and the packaging data also. Hard copies are not available of the solicitation and there are no drawings available because the nsns are part numbered items. Quantity price breaks and delivery schedules will be noted on the RFP. FOB Destination is required. Inspection/Acceptance will be origin and noted on RFP. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
