Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil . While it is understood that FedBizOpps is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FedBizOpps is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Crane Division. You may also access information on the NSWC Crane Division web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane has a requirement for a Brand Name or Equal M/A-COM model number 388A-02, IF to tape/baseband converter. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract will cover a three-year period. The contract will be for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 90 units. Numbered Note 26 applies. The award decision will be based on past performance and price and the ability to meet the brand name or equal salient characteristics. Delivery will be FOB Destination, NSWC-Crane Crane IN 47522-5000. Four first articles will be required unless the Government chooses to waive the requirement for first articles for a particular vendor(s). The first article units will be included in the first delivery order. Two each production units on the first delivery order will be due 30 days after approval of the first articles. If first articles are not required 6 production units will be required on the first delivery order. Additional units may be ordered on the first delivery order or on future delivery orders. Accelerated deliveries will be acceptable at no additional cost to the Government. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination for first articles. Production units will be inspected and accepted by DCMA at the contractor's plant. FAR Part 12 does not apply. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date, 31 December 2007, will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps, and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for any additional amendments that may be issued. For changes made after the closing date, only those offeror's that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit while applying full and open competition. All interested parties may respond to the requirement.
