- Site Visit RE: A and E Planning Project Date: December 17, 2007 Time: 10:00 am Place: Portland VA Hospital, 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, Oregon Attendees: Lorna Craig, VA Contract Specialist Frank Moran, VA Engineer Tim Carnell, Green Sand Inc. Tim Shell, KPFF The site visit/walk through started at 10:20 am after meeting in the lobby of Building 100 and was completed at 11:30 am. Frank Moran, VA Facilities Engineer, conducted the tour. The site visit included a visiting building 100 and 101 and touring the roof area, HVAC, Electrical, hospital ward, public areas and office areas as well as looking at the interstitial area between floors. The roof area gave a view of the entire grounds. The research building and the parking facility were walked through. The older buildings 6 and 16 which were built in the 1920s were walked through. The mechanical building was not walked through. Building T-51 was looked at. Question: When was building 100 built? Answer: The VA moved in 1987/88. Question: In building 100 is there an interstitial area between every floor? Answer: After the 1st and 2nd floor the interstitial areas start. Question: Will there be another site visit? Answer: No, although interested parties can see the grounds and enter public areas on their own.
