CDTI is envisioned to increase NAS capacity, efficiency and safety by providing pilots with traffic information tailored for specific traffic applications. The FAA is seeking to better understand industry, academia and government capabilities in the area of CDTI human factors to inform Research and Development investments in the areas of: - Understanding human factors and operational impacts of CDTI usage. - Integration of CDTI data elements into existing flight deck displays. - Use of CDTI to support trajectory-based operations. - Measurement of the impact of CDTI on pilot performance, aviation operations and safety. - Identification of certification and training issues related to CDTI usage. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interests and capabilities. All interested parties are requested to submit the following information: - Demonstrated technical experience and knowledgeable personnel in the areas of human facotrs and cockit display design. - Methods for measuring pilot human performance. - Experience in designing prototype cockpit displays for experimental testing. - Experience in conducting part-task and full-task human-in-the-loop (HITL) simulations. - Demonstrated knowledge and application of human system interaction (HSI) principles to data integration. - Understanding of ADS-B application to CDTI air- and ground-based applications. - Experience in collecting human factors data using non-experimental methods.
