- Description
- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation "PBGC" intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis, professional pension benefit administration services for defined benefit pension plans trusteed by PBGC. The pension benefit administration services sought include, but are not limited to: retrieving and/or collecting plan records; establishing plan and participant database records for a given plan; processing and authorizing benefit payments eligible participants and beneficiaries; processing deceased notifications, address and direct deposit changes; issuing benefit determination letters; providing notifications in accordance with Plan provisions and PBGC regulations and policies for such changes as offsets due to other employer-sponsored plans; adjustment for form of benefit due to death of payee; responding to oral and written inquiries from participants and other interested parties; performing plan closing and post valuation administration activities; providing technical support and assistance of special activities and programs such as activities of the Field Benefit Administrators (FBAs), special projects, and other BAPD activities in support of PBGC and BAPD goals. Other duties include providing customer services, computer services, quality assurance services and other technical services i.e. administration program. The period of performance for the base year shall be from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009, with four one-year options for renewal. The solicitation document, including amendments, will be distributed though the www.fbo.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be available. The estimated date for release of this solicitation is on or about January 11, 2008.
