- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought, Request for Information (RFI) notice for market research purposes. This is not a Request for Proposal, an Invitation for Bid nor a Request for Quotation. This notice is for informational and planning pu rposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. A formal solicitation document does not exist. The following information is requested to assist the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), in conducting market research of in dustry to identify prospective technically-acceptable, responsible sources. USACE seeks to find sources capable of producing Hollow Steel Structures. Potential providers should be capable of producing structures including 6 X 6 square with a 3/16 wall t hickness or 4 square, or Schedule 20 or 40 round in 4 or 6 in 20 and or 40 lengths. Provider should also state if they have the capabilities to produce the structures in corten or weathered steel. Production capability must be stated by Respondents i n terms of numbers of square steel structures that can be produced per day and the respondent should also state its available manufacturing capacity. Respondents should include a capability statement in clear, concise and unambiguous language outlining th eir individual qualifications relative to the above products requirement. Limit your reply to no more than three (3), single-sided, typewritten pages of text (inclusive of charts, graphs and photos) while utilizing a font size of no less than 12 point. The Government will treat all information received in response to this notice as proprietary and such information will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable Government regulations. Responses to this source sought request for information will not be ret urned. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by USACE to procure these services, to pay for the information requested or to make an award on the basis of this notice. Responses should co ntain company name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, e-mail address, CAGE code and business size classification (e.g. large, small, women-owned, 8(a), service-disabled veteran). Respondents should also furnish a list of all current Multiple Awa rd Schedule (MAS) or Government-wide Agency Contract (GWAC) contract instruments currently held. Submissions in response to the RFI shall be sent to erin.k.williams@usace.army.mil and must be received no later than 11:00 a.m. Central Time, Friday, December 28, 2007. Respondents must indicate in the subject line of the e-mail response-- Bollard Sources Sought. Information provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess tradeoffs, alternatives and to determine if competitive opportunities exist in th e marketplace. This is a sources sought request for information. Once again, no solicitation currently exists.
