Description
The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, special tooling, test equipment and materials for maintenance and overhaul of the UH-1 HUB, ROTOR Input NSN: 1615-01-270-2982 Input P/N: 204-012-101-141 Output NSN: 161 5-01-270-2982, Output P/N: 204-012-101-141 The proposed contractual action will be for a 3 year, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a minimum quantity of 60 and a maximum of 168. This is a Critical Safety Item , and as such, rebuild of the Hub Assembly requires specific test equipment capable of measuring all the pertinent operational parameters and critical characteristics of the item. This requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. Overhaul is to be accomplished in accordance with Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 55-1560-196 dated 16 January 1995 and the applicable AMCOM Engineering Maintenance Orders (MEOs). This item is a Critic al Safety Item which requires Source Approval, IAW DFARS 209.270-3. Based on the above information, this overhaul/repair should be released to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The OEM is Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Cage Code 97499, 600 E. Hurs t Blvd., Hurst Texas, 76053-8030. All responsible sources may submit an offer that may be considered by the agency. The required production schedule is 5 per month. Input will be 30 days after receipt of order (ARO). Output shall be 180 days ARO. Firm s that recognized and perform maintenance and overhaul on the required items described above are encouraged to identify themselves. No telephone requests for solicitation will be accepted. This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted depending upon th e date of release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
