- Description
- This is a Sole Source Special Notice Synopsis, prepared in accordance with the format described in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, of the Government?s intent to award a sole-source contract to FIRST TECHNOLOGY SAFETY SYSTEMS, INC., PLYMOUTH MI 48170-0962. Determination is based on no other known vendor being able to provide the product and/or materials required. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-19. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334515, the Small Business (SB) size standard for this code is 500 employees. The product the Government intends to purchase is the JPATS Manikin Head, MFG Part #: 190-001-LM110. Ejection Seat Dummy, 99th Percentile, includes: JSF LM110HX Head that is compatible with existing government owned Endevco 7302BM4 angular accelerometers in Y Axis in combination with two Entran EGV3 or Endevco 7268C triaxial accelerometers; Chest and Lumbar accelerometers mounting blocks to accommodate Entran EGV3 or Endevco 7268C accelerometer at a time; Dual Zippered Chest Vest (one in front and one in back) to accommodate IF-210HC and shoulder extensions being installed; Feet with Natural Range of Motion; and Maintenance Manual Listing Maintenance Schedule, Torque Values, Assembly/Disassembly Procedures, Component Level Exploded Diagrams, Configuration Diagrams, and Storage Procedures.
