- The Department of Defense, Washington Headquarters Services, intends to solicit offers in response to request for proposal (RFP) HQ0034-08-R-1014 for Industrial Hygiene and Food Sanitation Services, Pentagon and other Locations. The majority of the work will be performed at DoD facilities in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside, inviting full and open competition from firms meeting this criterion. The Government will only accept offers from small business concerns. The acquisition will be classified under the North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 541620 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million (used to determine the size status of the offeror). The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Priced type contract with a base period of one year with possible four consecutive twelve month option periods. The RFP will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 27 December 2007 on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) and on the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) Acquisition and Procurement (A&PO) website (www.whs.mil/apo). Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. Please be advised the 27 December 2007 date for solicitation posting is estimated and the actual posting date may be after the estimated date.
