Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to issue a sole source contract to procure field level maintenance support, training support, depot level maintenance support, technical support, help desk support, spare parts and miscellaneous services and support to directly support ongoing procurement actions of fielded VRC-110 radio systems, consisting of Tactical Hand Held Radio (THHR) units and Dual Vehicular Adapters (DVA) for the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The VRC-110 was procured through a General Services Administration contract (M67854-07-A-7073) with Harris Corporation, RF Division. MARCORSYSCOM intends to award the contract to Harris Communications, RF Division, 1680 University Ave, Rochester NY. 14610. Market research has shown that there are no third-party service providers authorized to conduct service on the Harris VRC-110. The use of non-authorized maintenance providers will cause the Original Equipment Manufacturer warranty to be v oided. Support and services are expected to be required at multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. The contract awarded under this action is expected to be a 5 year Indefinite Delivery ? Indefinite Quantity contract with a maximum value of approximately $76 million. The Government anticipates awarding a contract under this action in February, 2008. No RFP is available for competitive bidding; however interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement no later than 3:00pm local time on 28 JAN 2008 to Maj. Joseph Butkus at joseph.butkus@usmc.mil. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Parties that intend to submit a statement of capability are asked to notify the Government of that intent no later than 3:00pm local time on Jan 3, 2008. Numbered Note: 22
