- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W911XK-08-T-0027 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-16, dated 22 Mar 2007. The solicitation for the bridge components - deck units is being solicited as a brand name or equal to Acrow Corporation AB602C curbed Deck panels. The requirements are as follows: Furnish the following bridge component s for the government owned Acrow Panel Bridge, 700 XS Bridge. Components are to be designed to fasten directly to transom clips and bolt patterns in the existing bridge. No drawings will be furnished to support this procurement. 1) Furnish 13 New De ck Units, equal to Acrow Corporation AB602C curbed Deck panels. Deck units are 6'x10' orthotropic steel panels with epoxy aggregate coating on the deck surface. Furnish curbing, one side, designed for the bridge and panel systems. These are to be desig ned to provide ? lane across 130 of bridge. Fastener system is to be equal to and compatible with the Acrow Bridge in all aspects. These panels must fit Acrow Standard Halfen transom fastener system. Deck panels are to be designed and rated for HS25 wheel loading in accordance with AASHTO specifications. 2) Furnish two end fill panels, equal to Acrow AB720C, for the panel terminations to the transom. 3) Furnish the fasteners required for the panel and end fill panels. 4) F urnish 8 bearing blocks equal to 4 each Acrow AB504 (female) and 4 each bearing block equal to AB503 (male) for bridge. The NAICS is 332312, business size is 500 employees, and the acquisition is being solicited 100% Small Business Set Aside. Item Description Line Item 0001 13 Deck Units, Qty 13 Units, Unit Price $_____, Amount $_____. Deck Units shall be delivered to 1065 E. Portage Ave., Sault St. Marie, MI 49783. The Government intends to make one single award to the most responsive and respo nsible lowest price quote. The provision FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items is applicable. Contractor is required to complete all work by 21 January 2008. Type of contract will be firm fixed price. The provision 52.212-1, Instruction s to Offerors Commercial Items is applicable. The provision 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items is applicable. Offerors are to include a completed copy of provision FAR 52,212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, and DFARS 25 2.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with offers or a statement that these documents can be accessed at the ORCA website. Offerors must submit a completed offer schedule and acknowledgement of all amendments issued. The successful offeror MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration at http://www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award.
