- Description
- The following procurement is for the maintenance of the fire suppression systems located on Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The Period of performance will be a base year, starting 1 April 2008, with four option years. The contractor shall provide all personnel, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision and all other items necessary to perform all operations in connection with the inspection, testing, recharging and maintenance of installed dry and wet chemical fire extinguishing systems, Halon fire extinguishing systems, carbon dioxide (CO2) fire extinguishing systems, 2 ? gallon water portable fire extinguishers, dry chemical portable fire extinguishers, C02 portable fire extinguishers, and Halon 50lb and 150lb wheeled extinguishers at Tyndall AFB, Fl. The contractor must be licensed and certified in the State of Florida to work on fire extinguishers and pre-engineered systems (Class A and Class D). This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 561990, with a size standard of $6.5 million. This synopsis constitutes the only notice and a paper solicitation will not be issued. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 21 Dec 2007 on Federal Business Opportunities. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
