- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number is 8MT8A101, and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is a sole source to Mentor Graphics Corporation, 8005 SW Boechman Road, Wilsonville, OR 97070-7777. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-21. Set-aside: none; associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541511; small business size standard: $23 Million. Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program: not applicable. Allocations System (DPAS) rating is DO-S1. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items applies, with the following specific evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of that provision: Product offered, price, past performance. This requirement is for Mentor Graphics software upgrades and maintenance. The date and time offers are due: 12/12/07, 10:00 am Pacific time to DMEA, Contracting Office, 4234 54th Street, McClellan, CA 95652-2100. Mentor Graphics Design Environment Performance Specification. 1.0 Objective: The objective of this Performance Specification is to purchase software updates/maintenance and support. These purchases will provide a cost effective software support for printed circuit board and digital hardware design in support of the DMEA mission. 2.0 Requirements: All vendor products currently in use by DMEA will be evaluated annually by DMEA to determine if additional products are required or if existing products are no longer required. 2.1 End of Life (EOL) Products: At the initial award the vendor shall provide DMEA a list of all vendor products maintained under paragraph 2.0 of this performance specification that will be EOL during the upcoming bid year. If a product is determined to be EOL the vendor will provide a recommendation to DMEA for evaluation. 2.2 The vendor shall provide telephone and electronic support services to DMEA design engineers and system administrators. 2.3 The vendor shall deliver updates to DMEA system administrator according to current vendor delivery procedures.
