Description

The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns or for Service Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business concerns only. The estimated value of this procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code is 336611. The small business standard is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is for drydock repairs to the USCGC TEMPEST (WPC-2), a 179 foot cyclone class patrol boat, at the contractors facility. The vessel availability is for approximately sixty (60) calendar days, starting on or about May 12, 2008. The scope of this acquisition is for repairs of various items aboard the USCGC TEMPEST (WPC-2). The work will include, but is not limited to welding repairs, ultrasonic thickness shot inspection, clean and inspect fuel and oil tanks, remove and dispose of fuel, remove and dispose of additional oil and oily water, calibrate TLI, renew TLI sending unit, clean and inspect sewage and grey water collection and holding tanks, remove, inspect and reinstall propeller shafts, renew muff coupling, renew shaft bearings, remove, inspect, and reinstall propeller, clean and inspect heat exchangers, overhaul and renew valves,
