Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to increase the contract Maximum from $15,000,000 to $30,000,000 on the current sole source General Services Administration (GSA) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract M67854-06-A-7033 with Harris Corporation, 1680 University Avenue, Rochester NY, 14610-1839. The BPA is for spares specific to the Multi-Band Multi-Mission Radio (MBMMR), part number 10513-0010-01 (also known as the AN/PRC-117F) and the MBMMR Vehicular Adaptor/Power Amplifier, part number AN/VRC-103(V)1. The GSA BPA will have a total minimum ordering requirement of $9,500,000 and a maximum (ceiling) of $30,000,000. Harris Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the AN/PRC-117F and AN/VRC-103(V)1 systems, owning all related proprietary data and drawings and is the only USMC approved manufacturer of the above systems. Another manufacturer would have to undertake significant efforts to redesign and re-engineer the hardware to meet the DoD requirement for repairable components/modules for the MBMMR. Additionally, due to the required level of testing, interoperability with currently fielded radios, and the required delivery schedule, Harris Corporation is the only source capable of fulfilling MBMMR spares and repairable requirement. No RFP is available for competitive bidding, however interested parties capable of providing all of the spare parts listed in Attachment 1 are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement no la ter than close of business on 19 December 2007 to the contact person listed above. The applicable NAICS code for this effort is 334220.
