- The government intends to competitively award a firm fixed price contract under a small business set aside for the improvement of a nine mile stretch of road from Camp Wilson to the Range 220 complex via the Gypsum Ridge Training Area at MCAGTFTC Twentynine Palms, CA. The road experiences heavy traffic from contractor and service vehicles due to construction of the CAMOUT, which is expected to continue for the next three years minimally. This road requires constant maintenance in the form of watering and re-grading, without which the road quickly degrades to the point of unserviceability. Since the Combat Center is unable to meet the heavy maintenance tempo of this road additional service is required. Once construction of the CAMOUT is complete, tactical vehicle traffic from Camp Wilson to the CAMOUT facility is expected to be heavy for years to come. The contractor shall furnish the necessary services, supplies, and application of Soil-Sement? to the base at MCAGTFTC Twentynine Palms, California. The attached Draft Statement of Work provides more detailed information about the project. A final RFP will be forthcoming and will be posted on NECO. Any information provided to the Government will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Written response is requested within 15 days after publication of this notice. This announcement does not constitute a commitment of the Government to issue a contract for this effort.
