- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure a new Land-Based Mobile Electrical Power Plant (MEPP). The new MEPP shall be a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or modified COTS item. It shall be a self-contained, diesel engine driven, electrical power unit on a ruggedized, four wheel trailer capable of being towed over paved and gravel surfaces. The new MEPP will be a replacement unit for existing land-based NC-10C (P/N 328AS100-1) and NC-10C-2 (P/N: 328AS100-2) MEPPs. The new MEPP shall utilize state-of-the-art displays and instrumentation technologies for both engine operations and generator outputs. As required for any typical Navy Common Support Equipment (CSE), the new MEPP shall be highly reliable, maintainable, and supportable. As a land-based unit, it shall be capable of meeting shock, vibration, environmental, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and mobility criteria.
