Description
Description - TNT. HQ, Army Sustainment Command (ASC) is conducting a market survey of industry to identify actual/potential sources that exhibit the capability to manufacture and supply military grade TNT. The technical description is TNT, MIL-DTL -248D with amendment 1 dated 27 June 2007. As an indicator of your qualifications, a respondent to this sources sought must be able to demonstrate that they have adequate technical and manufacturing capability/capacity, and acceptable past performance in manufacturing/proccessing TNT and/or similar explosive materials(s). Interested companies who feel that they have the necessary capabilities/capacities should respond by providing the Government the following information in the timeframe as established ab ove; a summary and detailed information of the company's capabilities; description of facilities, personnel and related manufacturing experience; estimated minimum and maximum production quantitie and leadtimes for first and subsequent deliveries of TNT; whether TNT is currently in production or when last produced; other explosive material(s) produced; and the minimum quantity required for production. This summary and information should be of sufficient detail so as to allow the Government to perform a te chnical assessment as to a respondents actual capability. If a respondent does not currently have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, etc..) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain those resources in a timely manner. If a respondent chooses to use the services of sub tier sources or subcontractors, those sources must aslo meet the criteria. A respondent's available production capacity must be sufficient to manufacture/supply military grade TNT at a minimum an nual quantity of 100,000 pounds, with potential for up to 7,000,000 pounds per year, to support a contemplated one to four year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Respondents are required to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) uni t prices for the following range of quantities; 100,000 pounds-1,000,000 pounds; 1,000,001 pounds to 3,000,000 pounds; 3,000,001 pounds to 4,500,000 pounds; 4,500,001 pounds to 7,000,000 pounds.
