- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center located in Baltimore, MD, provides engineering services and logistics support for the U.S. Coast Guard utilizing military and civilian personnel that coordinate hull, mechanical, eletrical (HM&E), ordnance, and electronic support for the Coast Guard fleet and general support items for worldwide Coast Guard activities. These activities rely on a range of products developed from a range of processes that identify, create, represent, and distribute knowledge for reuse, awareness, and learning. The Engineering Logistics Center is interested in exploring how these areas of information can be integrated into an enterprise wide knowledge management environment. The Engineering Logistics Center relies on knowledge management to meet strategic goals and objectives in order to achieve specific outcomes, improved performance, a competitive advantage, or higher levels of innovation. The Engineering Logistics Center is requesting that firms specializing in knowledge management systems, that may be interested in assisting the Engineering Logistics Center in this effort should it proceed in this direction, provide literature in the form of brochures identifying their capabilities to provide such a system. The Coast Guard is seeking this information for informational purposes only at this time and will not pay for information submitted.
